East Anglia's Leading Rock & Roll Band Patrick Eggle Milan IV |
|
FOREWORD Having two other guitars by the same manufacturer at the time this was bought and having an affinity for the make, Tony decided to build a collection. Wishing to have a theme to the collection, he decided to obtain guitars that would complement one another and this is the bass. HISTORY Coming from the same stable as the Berlin Pro, the manufacturer's history is the same. The Milan series contained only two models: the Milan V (5 string version) and the Milan IV (4 strings). This guitar was bought cheaply because the original black finish was badly chipped. SPECIFICATION Made: 1994; Serial number: M4 8-94 267; Body: Ash; Neck: Bolt-on maple with rosewood fingerboard; Tuners: locking Sperzels; Bridge: Eggle Bass; Pickups: Twin Kent Armstrong bass humbuckers; Controls: Separate volume control for each pickup with push/push switch to tap the coils; common tone control. MODIFICATIONS The old black finish stripped off and the body sanded smooth. Re-finished with Liberon Finishing Oil. See here for more photos and details. Controls changed from volume, tone with push/push to tap both pickups, “contour control” to blend the pickups. |
